Finnabair Weekend - Class Project Part 3

Hello lovelies! It's time to share my third project for the Finnabair weekend at Bikuben the 11-13th of November. This class project was the first I made and we learned all about the use of sculpture medium in the "Verdigris" class.

For this class we made a shadowbox canvas.. I have to say that I wasn't really happy with the way mine turned out.. and I wasn't able to "fix" it in a way I would like it.. but I'm going to share it anyways. :)

So the kit was so filled to the brim with loads of lovelyness. All kinds of metals, fabric, lace and flowers. I added them to my frame and this is what I came up with.
I don't know why I do not like it that much but I do think it's because of the face. I didn't get it right I think. I like all my layers and the textures, and it was a fun project to make and of course you learn so much. You really can't see that spoon that we where suppose to use as a focal point. This piece is sprayed with Primary Elements and painted with gesso and metallique paints.

I love the Finnabair Mechanicals. They are so easy alterable and they looked so good on this project.

You can see part of the spoon I used on my canvas. I have to say it was a fun class and I liked the project, I'm just not happy with my project.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today :)

Mixed Media Notebook - Live Ustream Show - DT Scrapberry's

Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you my little notebook I made with loads of Scrapberry's supplies and mixed media products Live on the Artists Live Ustream Channel. It's a christmassy project and it can be used for anything.

I made my book with Scrapberry's Christmas paper from last years line. These papers are called: "That Special time of the Year" line.

I also made a shakerbox in the top right corner and added loads of detail. If you would like to see the process of making this, please take a look at the video below.

I used a whole list of Scrapberry's products. If you would like to see the products used please go to my post on the Scrapberry's blog.

A little closeup of the shaker box on the book that I've cut out from one of the diecuts in the diecut sheet found in the collection. All of the embellishements are also from Scrapberry's.

Thank you so much for stopping by me today and make sure to visit the Scrapberry's blog for more projects and fabolous inspiration.

Merry Christmas Card - DT Maya Road

Hello lovelies! Today it's my day over at the Maya Road blog and I'm all into making Christmas cards these days. So I've used some awesome Maya Road products and made a little something.

I've played with some papers from Studiolight but the dies, envelope and little button are all from Maya Road. The flowers are Wild Orchid.

I love using Maya Road envelopes on my cards. They give such great accent and layer. I broken out my sewing machine this time. I haven't used that in ages. Maybe because my room has been piling up with stuff lately and now my creativity is back and I enjoy my room more.

The title and snowflake are both awesome dies from Maya Road. They die-cut really well! I used a thin chipboard piece from quickutz on this. The chipboard is a bit thicker than cardstock.

I'm joining in these challenges with my christmas card:

Christmas Card

Hello everyone, taking a little brake from my Finnabair class posts (mainly because it's to dark to take any good photos) and showing you a Christmas card I made about a month ago.

So the photo I've used is one photo we got handed to us when I made this card. I was at a crop at Tingvoll, Norway. I love that crop! We had to make a christmas card and it had to be made after a sketch. I haven't shown this card to anyone yet. So it's your lucky day people! :)

I made a easel card with papers from Blue Fern Studios and Prima, basically some leftovers I had on my desk. The Chipboards both the circle and the "god jul" is both from SnipArt.

The flowers are from Papirdesign, Wild Orchid and Prima. The pinecones are real little pinecones I've picked in my backyard. I aslo added a bark star and punched out Holly leaves with a Marta Stewart Punch.

I covered the flowers with gesso and snowflake paste from Prima. Also added some blings from the "Sweet Peppermint" Collection.

The insides I've stamped with a christmas stamp from Papirdesign. And added a little sticker from the "Sweet Peppermint" collection.

I'm joining these challenges with my card:
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! :) If you like what I make, please follow my blog.. I would love to have you as a follower :)

Finnabair Weekend - Class Project Part 2

Back again today with another share from my classes with Finnabair - Anna Dabrowska at Bikuben the 11-13 of November. This class is actually the 3rd I took this weekend.. and this one was the one I wanted to go to the most and that was the "Heart of the Clock".. And I LOVED it.
The details on my clock is alot. Anna told me not to put so much flowers on it, because it would be a pain to paint later and that I would regret it.. but I don't. I even added extras.. The clock looks AMAZING. Oh yes, I'm quite happy with the way it looks.

Anna taught us fantastic techniques. We got to play with the gesso's, pastes and the acrylic paints and the opal magics. She teaches you step by step and everyone will get the project done. So over to my clock.. This is my class project from the "Heart of the Clock" class.

It took us quite along time to make this clock. The details are amazing on it and we used so much prima product and we got to play with the relics aswell.. I do adore the face in the flower cluster and the hand holding a rose is awesome aswell.

Isn't that an awesome detail with the Relics and Artifacts hand? I love that.. Didn't think I would.. but I do.. The Art Pebbels are so fun to work with aswell.

The paint on the clock changes with the light but I painted with purples and golds. (Don't remember the colors.)

Thank you soo much for joining me today and I'd love to hear what you think of my clock!
I would like to stress out that this is Finnabair's designs and products and I learned so much! :)

Finnabair weekend - Class project part 1

So the weekend of 11-13th of November I took a bunch of Finnabair classes and I enjoyed them so muuuch! I will share so photos from our classes and the project I made. I would like to stress out this is Finnabair's style and the classes are ABSOLUTLY amazing to take part in and you learn soo much. I will split my weekend into 4 seperate post so there will be 3 more like this.

I will start with the class that actually was my second class.. I joined the layers of dreams on Saturday morning. I love making layouts and I was really happy with my result. Usually I am a bit shy and scared to mess things up, but this time I just went with the flow. :)

This is what I made of the class. I added a black frame to my project and it looks amazing and I can hang it on my wall now. :)

The frame of course Prima and all the embellishments are also Prima. The photo I used I've used before on a layout, but I think it's just such a fun photo so I just had to use it.

This rusted elements are sooo cool, I really like the look on them. We just a lot of the art stones as well and splatted with gesso and Colorarte Primary elements.

Look at all my layers.. It's no way to put this in an album. We used loads of lace, papers and metal embellishment. We painted everything with gesso and misted primary elements on top. Then we added those rusted elements.

The texture is amazing! We added art stones in both sizes and painted them into our project. I love the color palette with the purples and teals.

I see that the photo I used comes out really blury in this photo. But it's really not. But you get to see the layers and all the details in the layout and of course all the splatteres we did. It was such a fun class to attend. If you have the chance to go and learn to use Finnabair projects I would highly recommend you doing so! :)

Thank you so much for your visit today! :)

My Lightbulb Fairy - DT Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo

Hello everyone! It's time for the second reveal at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo and this time it's all about lightbulbs! :)

I really had fun with this project and it took some time to make because I started on it under my "mojo-lost" period.. I really liked the project then, but I couldn't finish it. But after my mojo came slowly back, I managed to finish her. Let's take a look at my Fairy.. :)

I'm really happy with her.. She's made with loads of layers and flowers. I painted her, misted her and added some sequins.

I used microbeads and prima flowers and resin flowers. She's misted with color bloom.

I'm so happy with her so I'm thinking about making her a "husband". She kind of deserves that :)
