Mixed Media Tags - Flying Unicorn

Hello! Saturday the 11th of June I did my second live show ever on Flying Unicorn Ustream channel! I used the June Flying Unicorn Kit to create a Mixed Media style tag.

The papers on this are Salvage Distric from Prima, Flowers are new petaloo flowers and I've also used wooden embellishments from Prima. Here's the kit I played with:

Here's the tag I made:

This is my oldest Son.. He turns 12 this year.. Time flies so fast. If you'd like to see how I made this tag. Please take a look at the recording here:

Don't you just love the shine of those flowers? The Opal Magic is fantasic and gives the flower and the tag a gorgeous shine.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and I hope you liked my tag. Since I now have 2 of these tags Felix has one in his room as well :)

Matchbook Card Tutorial - DT Flying Unicorn

Hello Everyone. Today is my day over at the Flying Unicorn blog. It's a long post, so I've decided to make it into two posts. I'm starting with my video tutorial - a matchbook card! These are so fun to make and are fantastic as mini albums, and a card that's a bit more than just one page.

I've used the Salvage District line from Prima Marketing with loads of flowers. The stamp is from Kort & Godt.

I fuzzy cut some images from the collection. I love to fuzzy cut, it just gives you so many elements to work with. If you want to see how I made my card please take a look at my video.

Here's a look on the accordian inside:

You can do so much with the accordian inside, add sentiments, pockets, photos, poems or some well said words the recipient.

I'm joing these challenges with my card:

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Would love to hear what you think :)

Spring Butterflies - DT Crafty Moly & Flying Unicorn

Hello Everyone! :) There's a new challenge over at the Crafty Moly blog I would love to share with you. I used the March Kit from the Flying Unicorn on my card, lovely purple, blues and pinks in this kit.

I made a really dimensional card with loads of flowers and die-cut butterflies from Poppy Design. The super gorgeous frame is from Crafty Moly.. Flowers are Prima and Petaloo.

This months challenge at the Crafty Moly blog is Spring themed with Butterflies. I have loads of butterflies and I'm hoping I got that spring feeling to my card.

I added a Prima Adhesive Rub-on to the egdes and covered with gold foil. The dies are a leaf dies from Magnolia (I think). I also added some small metal embellishments from Korthobby.no :)

See how dimentional this is? I'm joining in these challenges with my card:

A little Card - DT Scrapberry's

Hello everyone! It's my turn today over at the Scrapberry's blog and I have a card to share. There's something a bit soothing making cards I think. This one isn't for any special occation, but just a little greeting to say you care.

I've used the beautiful "Butterflies" collection from Scrapberry's with some embellishments and flowers.

I've fuzzy cut out some elements out from the die-cut sheets in the collection. I've used loads of layering to build up my card. I've added some flowers both from Scrapberry's and Petaloo. The little resin frame is an embellishment from Scrapberry's.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

Altered Bottle - Flying Unicorn January KOM

I had the best of times creating for the Flying Unicorn January Kit. I want to show you an Altered Bottle I made with the Mixed-Media Kit and Add-on Flower Kit.

Let's take a look at the kit I used:

Flower add - on :)

Mixed Media Kit

and here is  my bottle:

I've also used some bits and pieces from the Main Kit. Painted my bottle with white gesso at first. Added texture with the stencil in the kit and modeling paste. Covered with gesso again and glued on a piece of old curtain and wire string.

I misted with the mists in the kit from 13@rts - Chalk Dirty Pink, Pastel Dirty Pink, Pastel Black and Chalk Grey. After finishing making the texture of the bottle the way I liked it, I glued on the embellishements I liked.
I dry brushed gesso on top of the flowers and added micro beads in silver and pink coloured flakes also from 13@rts. I think I got those in a previous kit.

The word is a 13@rts Chipboard and I have to say.. I utterly love them.. They are large enough to fit on a scrapbook page, and actually quite durable. Awesome addition to the Main Kit.

I hope you enjoyed my little bottle. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I would love a comment and I will comment back.

Love Layout - DT Maya Road

Hello to you! December is crazy busy for me this year.. I always say every year that next year, I'm going to get everything done in November so we don't have to stress about anything and just enjoy the month.. but Nooo.. always ends of sooo crazy.. Anyways. It's my day over at the Maya Road blog and I have a layout to share today!

I've played with awesome embellishments and dies from Maya Road and the December Kit of the  Month from the Flying Unicorn Store. Perfect together! :)

Taking pictures here is horrible, it's dark all day long. The papers are from Riddersholm Design and are quite fantastic. Good sturdy quality. The flowers are partly Maya Road, Petaloo and Prima. The felt ones are from Maya Road. The leafs are metal trinkets I've painted with gesso. Added a camera charm and die-cutted out the word "love" from a Maya Road steel die..

If you want to check out the kits for the flying Unicorn store please check out here. They are truly awesome. Always fantasticly put together.

Thank you for stopping by me today. Leave me a comment and I'll leave one back. :)

Enjoy Life Tag - DT Korthobby

Loads of challenges out this month and Korthobby.no's challenge blog has just posted their newest challenge. The challenge is "anything goes" and here is my project for it:

I've made a tag this time with some products from Korthobby.no. The Cameo embellishment and the Silver crown is something you can find in the store.

I've used papers form Authentique and Poppydesign Card. I've also used flowers form prima, petaloo and storyteller and of course loads of medium.

So this is my project :)
For my norwegian readers: Da er det bare å ta turen innom korthobby's utfordringsblogg å bli med. Eneste kriterie er at det er nødt til å være metall fra korthobby på prosjektet. Easy peasy. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a creative evening! :)

Insta Love Layout - DT Maya Road

It's my first ever blogpost at the Maya Road blog today and I'm beyond excited because it's also my first ever blogpost with a tutorial video!! My hubby fixed a webcam for me so I had to try it out. This time I made a layout - of course mixed media.

I had to scrap this precious picture of my youngest. He was born 7 weeks prematurely and had to get some help and medical attention the first week of his life.

I've used loads of Maya Road products on my page like Maya Mist. Chipboards and kraft elements.

I've actually used a sketch I found at Art-Piaskownica blog and used it as a refrence point for my layout. The papers are the newest from 13@rts and Olga Heldweins collection. Here's the sketch:

Well, time to present my first ever video tutorial! Pleease be gentle with me :P

On the Maya Road blog you can find a full list of supplies I've used. Thank you so much for stopping by me today and have great crafty day! :)

New challenge at Scraki-Wyzwaniowo!

It's a new month and that  means a new challenge at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo. It's all about the damask pattern. We have a lovely moodboard for you :)

This time I made a burlap canvas for this challenge. It's full of lovely mixed media (witch I LOVE) lace, flowers and some 7dots Studio (of course).

I used a fractured doll from Tim Holtz as my centerpiece for my canvas. I also stamped with a Tim Holtz butterfly stamp. Flowers are Petaloo's :)

For the damask on my project I've used the damask - stencil from 7dots studio. The papers are form various collections from 7 Dots Studio. I  decorated with chipboard pieces, doilies and flowers. A super fun project to make!

Shadowbox - DT Marion Smith Designs

Hello and good saturday evening everyone! :) Today it's my turn on the Marion Smith Designs blog. We did a blog swap/hop with Petaloo and I recived the most gorgeous Petaloo flowers. We had a theme going on and that was graduation or fathers day. Or fathers day here in Norway isn't due until november.. But here are my fathers day themed Shadowbox.

I've really enjoyed making this I have to say. Steampunk pieces is fun! :) I've used products from Marion Smith Designs "Timekeeper" collection, and Petaloo flowers.

The shadowbox was an old card case. I painted the whole thing with  Finnabair's black gesso and Texture Paste Graphite. I added microbeads to the wet paint. The papers used are from the awesome steampunk collection from MSD called "Timekeeper". I've aslo encluded gears, screws and different metal pieces. The flowers are of course petaloo this time.

I also made a matching tag to go with this shadowbox. Come back tomorrow and you'll see that. If you can't wait you can see it on the MSD blog tonight! :) Thank you so much for stopping by. I would loove a comment. I'll comment back if you leave one.
