Juleklem - DT Papirdesign

Autumn Romance - Card

Hello hello! It's been ages since I've posted anything on my blog.. What have I been up to you may ask? I've been busy changing myself and loosing alot of weight. I'm in my home strech with my weightloss and I've been posting lots of my work on my instagram account. But I thought it would be fun to start blogging abit again.

I made a wedding card, and used the new paperline from Prima - "Pumpkin Spice". This is such a warm and nice collection.

I also added a lot of flowers from the same collection, ribbons, twine and crystals.

I love the text stickers from Papirdesign, they are some of my favorite products to use on my projects. I painted the flowers with some gesso and added some mini art stones with some soft matte gel.

I am trying to join in some challenges with my card:

1. Let's Craft and Create - Challenge #163 - Anything goes

2. Ally's Angels - Challenge #38 - Anything Goes

3. Crafts Galore Encore - Challenge #79 - Anything Goes

4. Love to Scrap - Challenge #137 - Anything Goes

Mixed Media Canvas

Hello Everyone! Today I have a little canvas piece to share with you. I made this of my littlest boy, just for fun.. It's not often I make something just for fun since I usually make a lot of DT work, but this time I also added a video tutorial of my piece.

I played with some of awesome Prima Flowers, Blue Fern Studio Chipboards and used a lot of mixed media products like the new Lindy's Magical Shakers.

There's a lot of details on it, I used modeling paste in the background, with the magical shakers and Color Blooms. I also did some stamping and golden embossingpowder.

If you would like to see how I made this please take a look at the video below. :)

I've put my finished canvas with some of my favorite pieces I've made.

I'm joining in these challenges with my canvas:

I got inspired with by the colors and textures of the moodboard.

Thank you so  much for stopping by my blog today! :) Have a fantastic creative sunday! :)

Memory Lane Love - Layout

Hi again sweethearts! Back again today to share with you a layout I made with the new collection from Prima "Love Clippings". I really like this collection.. It's so cute!

I made this layout at a crop this last weekend. We do these 1 hour challenges. This 1 hour challenge was all about romance. So you had to include a heart and the color red. It was so many awesome things made at that challenge, and this was what I entered with.

I really love this background paper as it doesn't really need a lot of background work, that's done for you. BUT, I did add some stenciling and modeling paste to add a bit of texture in the background. I splattered alot with Color Blooms and added some stamping.

Do you spot the playing cards in the background? Those are Prima goodies as this whole layout is actually mostly Prima things. I love flowers and I used a whole pack on this layout. Love to make a lot of layers on my layot.. This is no exception.

This is one of my favorite photos from last year. Me and my hubby at the top of the Urquhart Castle in Scotland. I really enjoy the time we had together there. I love my husband so much. He's my soul mate.

I'm joining in these challenges with my layout:

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I would love to hear what you think about my layout! This years first layout share! :) See you soon!

About my absence, lost mojo and a first share..

Hello lovelies.. It's been a long time.. over a month since I posted anything. I've been struggeling.. loads.. with myself, my creativity.. not feeling like doing anything. Not finding the pleasure in hinding out in my scrapbook room like I used too. My scrapbooking is my sancturary. A place to hid from the stuff going on around me.. and there's loads of stuff going on. I have a.. let's say a difficult family life. I don't keep it a secret because I think that knowlegde gives you more understanding of how things are. My oldest son as ADHD and Aspergers, witch again leads to the difficult family life. Just dealing with the everyday things has been hard lately.

My creativity left me 1,5month ago.. a long with my self-confidence about the projects I make. They say that You are the worst critics to yourself. Believe me.. I truly am the worst critic. I take everything very personally when I do something. Like when I'm out taking photos. I can blame myself for the rain - if it rains. I know it's not my fault.. but I just do.. and then I don't sleep for days because I'm not happy with the things I made or the photos I took. So I stopped making stuff.. I wanted to make things.. I just couldn't.. I would sit at my desk an shovel the papers around me. I could cut into something only to not get anywhere with it. I questioned everything I did.. Still do.. And I felt really sad about it.. beause this is my lifestyle. This is what I love to do. So I cut myself away from everything scrapbooking as well.. I haven't been visiting loads of blogs, keeping up on facebook. Just went to my desk to work, turned of the lights and left it like it was at night.

I push myself to make something now.. Even though I know it's not amazing or it isn't the best I've ever made.. But just to make something and maybe it will come back to my finger tips. So I've made something small today.. It's for the new Scrapberry's challenge this month and it's all about Kids. You an make a card for small friend, scrapbook with kids or make something for a kid like I did.

I made this little notebook for my son to practice his ABC's. He just started 1grade in August.

I even covered a pencil with the same paper as the book. I've used the "Forest Friends" collection from Scrapberry's on my little notebook here. Hopefully my son with like it to..

If you managed to read my rantings on the top, I would like to thank you for it. I'm not fully back I would say.. but I've made something now.. More than I have in ages.. Thank you so much for reading this and stopping by!

Hugs to all!

Smile - Layout - Guest Designer 7dots Studio

Hello Lovelies! Today I have some great news to share! I've been so lucky to get to guest design for 7dots Studio and I have my first project to share, a layout made with gorgeous 7dots Studio products.

Look at the pretty bagde?! I'm soo happy!! :) Now over to my project.

I love this happy picture of my son Finnley. He is playing in my (then) brand new waste basket for my craft room. Yes, a girl needs some pink when there just boys in the house. The papers are Verano Azul blended in with some "Illumination" both from 7dots Studio.

I've actually played along with the "More than words Challenge" with this layout (my first time playing!!) and I've followed their awesome sketch this month and used the word "smile". I did a little painting with Ecoline's on my background.

I always do splashing on my layouts and of course I did some here as well. I also stamped with 7dots studio stamps form the "illumination" and "Thoughts keeper" sets. The flowers are Prima and wild orchid. The gorgeous chippie is from Blue Fern Studios witch I've embossed with white embossing powder.

One of my favorite 7dots Studio product is the word stickers. They work so well on everything!! So I had to add some to my layout. You can see some of the flowers I added, also string and splashing with some gesso and the ecolines. I've also used some modeling paste and a stencil to create some texture. (a bit hard to see, but you can spot it in the top right corner).

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Would love to hear what you think :)

Summer Challenge - Scrapberry's

Hi everyone! There's a new challenge up on the Scrapberry's blog and this time you can make anything as long as it has a summer feel to it.

I used the papers from the "Sweetheart" collection for my card. It has these awesome papers you can fuzzy cut and I really like fuzzy cutting. So I cut out this pretty girl and added some rhinestones and a banner.

New challenges!! DT Scrapberry's, Craftmoly & Korthobby.

Oh yes.. It's the first couple of days into a new month and it's time for new challenges. This time I did a 3 in 1. 3 challenges into one piece :)

Allright! Let me tell you about all the challenges my piece is about.

                                                        Here's my finished piece:
This is a commisson piece I made for a friend who was going to a baby shower. So don't worry I'm not pregnant and I'm not having a girl. LOL. The UL picture is just for illustration :)

I've used papers from Scrapberry's including embellishements like flowers and resins. The chipboard leaves and hearts are from Crafty Moly.

Isn't this little bunny sooo cute. I've used two 6x6" Paper Pads from Scrapberry's. And this one comes in the "My Little Star" collection. The little rattle and the button is also Scrapberry's embellishment.

This heart charm is from Korthobby.no and is one of my favorite metal pieces. The hanger is from Crafty Secrets but I had this in my stash for quite sometime.

I hope you'll join in on some of the challenges I listed in the top of this post! Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Made with Love Tag - Scrapberry's Challenge

In the first of the month it's always loads of new challenges and loads of post, today I'd like to share with you the new challenge at Scrapberry's.

This months challenge is to make a tag. You can make the size you'd like but you do have to use at least 50% Scrapberry's product. :) I've used a fairly new collection called Photo Archive.

I added loads of embellishements, papers and clustered it on my tag. All the papers are from the same collection. The large center flower and the cork clock is Scrapberry's. The same goes for the pretty Lily flower and the pearls. I used a dies and die-cutted into some of the papers form the collection.

I splashed loads of Dylusions White Linen spray on top with a brush. And dry brushed th flowers with gesso.

Hope you got inspired to join in the challenge as well. You can find all the details you need here, including inspiration from the other designteam members.

Thank you so much your visit today! :)

More Christmas Cards :)

Today I would like to share another Christmas card. As I was saying in my last post I did teach loads of christmas card classes in October trough out December, so this card was one of those cards I taught :)

I've used loads of Papirdesign goodies on my card along with some Tim Holtz dies. All papers, flowers and the "Julehilsen" is from Papirdesign.

I love to fold my cards this way.. It makes a fantastic card and you can use a whole sheet of paper to fold it or you can just use the size you have. It just needs to be square. :) I've used a Tim Holtz die to die cut the skates and the holly leaves. Decorated with flowers from Papirdesign and added loads of microbeads and mica flakes to create a snow effect.

Bird Card - DT Scrapberry's

Back again today with a new card for you! I've made this as DT for Scrapberry's new challenge. This month it's all about the fuzzy cutting. I love - love - LOVE fuzzy cutting.

This time I've use the Birds of Paradise collection from Scrapberry's. The frame is from Wycinaka and the stamp from Norsk Stempelblad - a norwegian stamp magazine.

I've used Scrapberry's embellishments like the bird house, feather and pearl swirl. The beautiful purple flowers are Scrapberry's. Ther rest are from Prima. I love finishing off my cards with microbeads and a bit of gesso.

Isn't that Birdhouse the cutest ever. I love the little heart on it. I hope you will join us in the Scrapberry's challenge this month - please check out the details here:
