Lille Penny - new Scrapki-wyzwaniowo Challenge!

Today is a new challenge day over at the Scrapki-wyzwaniowo blog. The challenge is "Circles" and here's my take.

I've played with awesome 7dots papers. These papers are from "The Queen's Heart" collection. This is my sweet little dog Penny when she was about 3months or so :)

So I've cut circles out of the patterend paper and added a stencil with dots to get a bit more circles in there. I've also added some small round rhinestones and some round flowers. :)

I hope you have time to join us at scrapki-wyzwaniowo the prize is actually the new 6x6" Paper pad "Cold Country" from 7dots and Anna Dabrowska. Join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by my post today! :)

Mixed Media Card with Art Anthology

Today I have a card to show you made with the awesome products from Art Anthology. Hope you like it :)

I love embellishing and misting and using masks and everything and this card I did it all (yeeey!) The beautiful Birthday wishes stamp are from "Poppydesign".

Making a card like this is the perfect way to get rid of some of you extra scrap pieces of paper. I started out with some strips of paper and glued it to a simple base. I used a stencil with Frost Sorbet and made small cherry blossoms in the background.

You can see the way the sorbet shines to the light. I also used Cotton Candy Velvet with a dot stencil on the top of the cherry blossoms.
I misted to on top with watermelon, honey bee, timeless and Paprika Sorbet. I used it together with water to mixed the colors together. Dried it all up and used a bit of Art Anthology Gesso on top and there you have it. A fun mixed media card! :) Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a creative night! :)

Memories - Poppydesgin Layout

Today I have a layout with papers and embellishements from the Norweigan company - Poppydesign to show you. I've used the new paper line called "Rustic" on my layout.

This is my mother in law out walking with my dog.. Pure happiness from both sides. I've also used a couple of papers form the rustic collection. You can buy these papers at Panduro. Lovely papers. High quality.

I've decorated with flowers, mists, stamping and a bit of metall trinkets. :) I've also used a bit of paper tape. The layout is made after this sketchabilities sketch.

I tend to find working after a sketch a bit easier and helpful when I'm not really in the zone to make stuff. :) This was a very good sketch! :)

The stamps and the memories stickers is all from Poppydesign. :) Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Here's some links to the Poppydesign products used on this layout.

Bestiser - Inkido & Skissedilla Layout

I just wanted to share a layout I made both for Inkido's designteam and this months Skissedilla Layout! The layout is made to this month's inkido challenge also, and there are still time to join in at both challenges! :)

I've used a couple of papers from an older Inkido collection. Love the cool feel of the paper. I've also added a little mixed media feel to it. :) The flowers also has got a little coat of gesso. This is my dog and an my mother in law. They are such good friends and Penny (my dog) cries so much when she comes over. She's sooo happy to see her.

Take a look at the Inkido challenge. I got inspired by the cool winterish colors and the spot of red. Take a look yourself and get inspired you too!

The layout is made after this months sketch made by Brit Sviggum for Skissedilla. We have a great selected scrapper this month: Finnabair!! Check all the dt work's at Skissedilla.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I would be such a happy camper if you left me a comment! :)
Have a super creative day! :)

Layout with Art Anthology and a small tutorial..

I've come to a decision about my blog and that's to start writing it in English. It's much easier when I make post for designteams I work for.. :) This layout is made for Art Anthology with a small tutorial on how you can make your own ink pads using colorations mist.

It's important to know that the ink in colorations aren't permanent. So the project has to be done before you add the ink or else the ink will blend with the other colors or water you add.

First find the colorations you want to use. I wanted to use a dark color for my stamping, so I chose the Raider. Spritz some color on a piece of cut'n dry and make sure the whole thing is filled with color. Than it's just to use it like a ordinary stamp pad.  To keep it moist put it in a small plastic bag and just refresh the pad when you are going to use it again. I've used different stamps from 3rd Eye.
The print get's a bit more watery and not that perfect as permant ink. But not perfect is good, right?

And here is my layout done! I've also used gesso and Mayan Gold Velvet. I also sprinkled alot of small drops of colorations, like heart, honey bee, timeless and watermelon. The paper I've used is from Glitz design. I've aslo used chipboards from 3rd Eye and a bagde. Flowers are from Prima.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my layout today! I hope to use my blog a bit more this year. Have a creative night! :)

Wood Sun Album!

:) Takk for at du stoppet innom meg i dag! :)

I made this wood album in a swap with Genuinerly Jane. Thick and good wood pages and everything painted with Art Anthology paint! Other products are from Glitz and some from Prima. Thanks for stopping by me today! :)

In the very end of this post, you will find my secret word.. We are all suppose to tell you three things of our choice on this hop. I would just do 3 small fun facts about Norway I think.. I'm sure that it has been quite a read on this blog hop with all the people listed on the hop.

Fun fact one: The Vikings of Norway

(and Scandinavia) are well-known, they had a reputation as fierce and fearless fighters. Vikings did not have helmets with horns (as shown in the popular comic strip Hägar the Horrible). In fact, it is not clear if Vikings used helmets at all. While tens of thousands of Viking weapons has been uncovered, only one (1) helmet from around the Viking period exist. The Viking helmet is a merely a legend. Although the word "viking" is now used about people from Scandinavia, thousands years ago in west-germanic languages it possibly referred to pirates, seaborn warriors or seamen of any origin.

Fun fact two: Norwegain words adopted in English as well as other languages.

Norwegian and English are not only closely related, but a number of Norwegian or Old Norse words have been adopted in English as well as other languages, examples:
  • Ski - cleft piece of wood
  • Bag - flexible container, borrowed back from english into modern Norwegian
  • Slalom - (Slalåm i Norwegain) - a track (låm) on a slope (Sla)
  • Club - from old Norse (a cudgel)
  • Sky - from old Norse (meaning "cloud")
  • Flat - "flat/flatt" in modern Norwegain
  • are - er in modern Norwegain
  • they - de in modern Norwegain

Fun fact three: Norwegians love frozen pizza.

The Grandiosa frozen pizza is the unofficial Norwegian national dish. Each year Norwegians consume more than 20 million Grandiosa pizzas, in addition to all the other frozen pizza brands on the market.

So there you have it.. some fun facts about us Norwegians.. :) And now to my secret word... MATTERS

So since I'm the last one in this hop you should have collected all the words and email them to marketing[att]papercraftscandianvia.com. Thank you so much for stopping by here today! And thank you for all your hopping! :)
