Grattis! - Birthday Card - Ett Trykk/Scrapberry's

Heellloo hello! Sorry to say I'm not the best blogger these days, I'm trying to better myself - been out exercising alot lately and that sorry to say is stealing a bit from my Scrappy time. Anyways as some of you know I've been a contributor to a Norwegian scrapbook magazine called "Ett Trykk" and I haven't really shared anything I've made for them yet. So I thought this was a good day to share.
So I've played around a bit with Scrapberry's "Young and Free" collection. Not really my colors.. but it's fun to play around with pink sometimes.

I played around with layers witch I like very much. It gives dimension and interest to the card. The girl is also fuzzy cut out from the collection. I stamped with from a Norwegian company called "Kort & Godt". Flowers are from Prima.

Allright! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a fantastic day! :)

Hello Gorgeous - Layout - Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo

Hello my sweet neglected followers! This past few months have been soo crazy busy. I've been the leader of this huge festival in my community with loads of people selling their homemade items, and all sorts of other things. It's been a crazy time but hopefully I'm back to my old self with scrapbooking, teaching classes and taking photos! :)

So for my first share of many (hopefully) is my DT layout for Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo's newest challenge "Beauty". It's not to late to join in and I hope you do! :)

Like I said; this month is all about "Beauty" and I found this fun Snapchat photo of me and Olivia. Heather Thompson's sweet sweet daughter from when they visited me here in Norway this summer. She is such a dollface! :)

It's been a long time since I've made scrapbook layouts. I've mostly made cards and other of the page projects. So I wanted to keep this layout clean and fun. I've used white cardstock for my base and distress inks from Tim Holtz for my blue background with some yellow splashes with Dylusions ink. I stamped with a star background stamp from Carabelle. and used mostly Prima products as embellishments.
The "Hello Gorgeous" sticker is from Simple Stories, and most of the flowers are from Prima and Wild Orchids, added some bits of lace and ribbon and - Voila! A little layout was born!

If you'd like to join Scrapki's challenge this month, please head on over to the Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo blog for details and a little look at this months prizes sponsored by 7dots Studio and UmWow Studio.

Thank you so much for stopping by my neglected blog today! I truly appricate it! :) HUGS!

Don't forget to Smile - Card - DT Scrapberry's

Hello Everyone, it's my day over at Scrapberry's and we have started something new there. Every 7 days, you will get a video tutorial showcasing all the awesome stuff Scrapberry's has to offer. I made a video tutorial about how you can use the Scrapberry's Ink Stain stamp pad to create backgrounds to your cards.
I've used the "Forest Friends" collection for my card along with stamps for the "PhotoArchive".

And as promised I made a video tutorial on how I put together this card. I hope you like it.

The Stains ink has loads of great uses, you can spritz them with water and get an awesome look. Maybe that's something for my next Scrapberry's tutorial.

I'm joining in these challenges with my card:

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and if you'd like to see some more fun projects using Scrapberry's products, please head on over to the blog.

H is for Hummingbird - 52 Card Challenge

Hello everyone.. So Maremi - Marta Lapkowska has this great Creative Cafe on facebook where you can share your love for all things Art, and she started this great challenge where you alter a playing card making this super sweet ATC like treasures. So I wanted to join in because it's a great to explore and expand your own creative boundries. Anyways.. I starting at the end of the line, not with the first card with the letter A, but with letter H... And H is for Hummingbirds..

So as an additonal twist I thought.. why don't I do a video tutorial of every card I make? Hopefully I will make all 52 cards.. that means 52 videos.. Here's my card:

The card is made out of Prima's Alphabet Cards and is the same size as playing cards. I've used a image transfer technique to transfer the bird witch I found on pintrest. I can't draw if my life depended on it.. and used watercolors to color the bird.. You can watch the whole proccess in the video below.

I will have to play "catch up" to get caught up from A-G so hopefully there will be some more videos in the next weeks or soo.. could be months too... let's not rule anything out..

So there you have it, my first card for the challenge. :) Hope you liked my tutorial and thank you for visiting my blog today! Have a great creative day!

Sisters - Layout - DT Wild Orchid Crafts

Hello everyone! Back today with another share, today I'm up on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog with a layout to share. I had so much fun making this layout. Let me tell you all about it!

These are my sisters, way back when I was young.. hahaha.. Well.. The picture is about 15-16years old I guess and just a fun memory to scrapbook, because that's what it's all about isn't it? So I made this layout at a crop, this was a challenge and you had to finish in one hour. I used about 45minutes to come up with the idea and making it happen.

The challenge was to use purple, you had to borrow something from your neighbour and use some embossing dry or wet. So I did a bit of mixed media on the background like adding modeling paste, mists and some stamping and of course embossing. You don't know how rushed you feel when you are trying to dry mist and wet medium and making a decent layout at the same time. All in one hour.

I used some of the white open roses and some Pretty Flori - Anemone flowers from Wild Orchid and adding a soda can opener just for fun. I also borrowed some of the punchinella from my neighbor Kjersti at the crop and stapled them on.

I added some large magnolias, anemone and roses to my project, of course from Wild Orchid. The flowers are really good quality flowers and perfect for any project.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Would love to hear what you think. Have a great creative day! :)

Memory Lane Love - Layout

Hi again sweethearts! Back again today to share with you a layout I made with the new collection from Prima "Love Clippings". I really like this collection.. It's so cute!

I made this layout at a crop this last weekend. We do these 1 hour challenges. This 1 hour challenge was all about romance. So you had to include a heart and the color red. It was so many awesome things made at that challenge, and this was what I entered with.

I really love this background paper as it doesn't really need a lot of background work, that's done for you. BUT, I did add some stenciling and modeling paste to add a bit of texture in the background. I splattered alot with Color Blooms and added some stamping.

Do you spot the playing cards in the background? Those are Prima goodies as this whole layout is actually mostly Prima things. I love flowers and I used a whole pack on this layout. Love to make a lot of layers on my layot.. This is no exception.

This is one of my favorite photos from last year. Me and my hubby at the top of the Urquhart Castle in Scotland. I really enjoy the time we had together there. I love my husband so much. He's my soul mate.

I'm joining in these challenges with my layout:

Hexagon box and Envelope - DT Scrapberry's

Goood morning lovlies! Back today to share my Scrapberry's project I posted on their blog a couple of days ago. These past dates I have numeral posts on the same day so I'm trying to spread it out abit on my blog. :) I made a little set with a hexagon shaped box and a little envelope.

I made myself a template to make this little hexagon box you can fill with whatever your hearts desire. The envelope are perfect for a money gift or gift card :)

So after I fashioned myself a little template I made a lid and a bottom. I stamped on the lid and added flowers, ribbons, twine and Scrapberry's embellishement. The Collection I've used is called "Cherised Jewels".

The bird is a beautiful Resin made by Scrapberry's. The large Pion like flower in the middle I bought at Ali Express. :) The Chipboard in the background is from Blue Fern and I've colored it with white splash ink from 13@rts.

I tried to match the little envelope and box by using the same products.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today :) If you would like to see other creations made with Scrapberry products. Please head on over to their blog

Make sure to stop by tomorrow! I have a new project to share :)

Christmas Card

Hello everyone, taking a little brake from my Finnabair class posts (mainly because it's to dark to take any good photos) and showing you a Christmas card I made about a month ago.

So the photo I've used is one photo we got handed to us when I made this card. I was at a crop at Tingvoll, Norway. I love that crop! We had to make a christmas card and it had to be made after a sketch. I haven't shown this card to anyone yet. So it's your lucky day people! :)

I made a easel card with papers from Blue Fern Studios and Prima, basically some leftovers I had on my desk. The Chipboards both the circle and the "god jul" is both from SnipArt.

The flowers are from Papirdesign, Wild Orchid and Prima. The pinecones are real little pinecones I've picked in my backyard. I aslo added a bark star and punched out Holly leaves with a Marta Stewart Punch.

I covered the flowers with gesso and snowflake paste from Prima. Also added some blings from the "Sweet Peppermint" Collection.

The insides I've stamped with a christmas stamp from Papirdesign. And added a little sticker from the "Sweet Peppermint" collection.

I'm joining these challenges with my card:

Be inspired Layout - GDT 7 Dots Studio

So it's been fun to guest DT 7dots Studio this month and today I'm sharing my last post with a video tutorial. I made a layout this time as well playing with the "Lost and Found" collection witch is my favorite!
As you all know I love fuzzy cutting, so I fuzzy cut some images out from the Domestic Godess Collection and the Homegrown collection as well. The gorgeous rusty metal pieces are Finnabiar embellishments.

I've used some modeling paste, stenciling, watercolor confections and stamping to create my background. Would you like to see my creative prosess on this layout please check out the video below.

T
I have to admit that the title stickers are perfect for any layout, card or project. I cherish all my title stickers. These are from the "Nature Walk" collection. The poppies are adorable. The stars are Finnabiar embellishements.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Would love to hear what you think :)

Wall Hanging Piece - DT Flying Unicorn

I haven't really showed you all the projects I did for the July Kit for Flying Unicorn. So I thought this day would be a good day to share a project. I made a wall hanging piece using an album canvas page from Prima.

I fell in love with this photo right away. It's my friends daugther I was so lucky to get to have a photography session with after her confirmation. It looks like a picture that could have been taken 100 years ago. The products are 49 and Market that came in the July Kit from Flying Unicorn.

So the stick came in the kit and I thought it would be awesome to hang the canvas page from. I misted with the tea stain mist that came in the kit, splatted with the coral mist and I stamped with a background stamp. Added strips of papers to create a fun background.

I fuzzy cut the butterfly out from papers in the kit, the flowers are also from the kit, 49 and market.

The red flowers are from Papirdesign. Those are soo gorgeous. I dried brushed them with gesso and added some sewing thread.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Would love to hear what you think..

Smile - Layout - Guest Designer 7dots Studio

Hello Lovelies! Today I have some great news to share! I've been so lucky to get to guest design for 7dots Studio and I have my first project to share, a layout made with gorgeous 7dots Studio products.

Look at the pretty bagde?! I'm soo happy!! :) Now over to my project.

I love this happy picture of my son Finnley. He is playing in my (then) brand new waste basket for my craft room. Yes, a girl needs some pink when there just boys in the house. The papers are Verano Azul blended in with some "Illumination" both from 7dots Studio.

I've actually played along with the "More than words Challenge" with this layout (my first time playing!!) and I've followed their awesome sketch this month and used the word "smile". I did a little painting with Ecoline's on my background.

I always do splashing on my layouts and of course I did some here as well. I also stamped with 7dots studio stamps form the "illumination" and "Thoughts keeper" sets. The flowers are Prima and wild orchid. The gorgeous chippie is from Blue Fern Studios witch I've embossed with white embossing powder.

One of my favorite 7dots Studio product is the word stickers. They work so well on everything!! So I had to add some to my layout. You can see some of the flowers I added, also string and splashing with some gesso and the ecolines. I've also used some modeling paste and a stencil to create some texture. (a bit hard to see, but you can spot it in the top right corner).

I'm joining in these challenges with my layout:

Mixed Media Birdhouse - DT Flying Unicorn

Hello lovelies! Yesterday I was up on the Flying Unicorn with my today's post and I have a Mixed Media birdhouse with a video tutorial to share. This birdhouse was the off the page project in the June kit. A new kit is just around the corner and it's fantastic! It's filled to the brim with the awesome new papers from 49th and Market. Ok, but first the birdhouse.

I have to say that this is the OTP project I had the most fun with (OTP stands for "Off the Page") I've played with so many mediums on this like gesso, crackle paint, Lindy's Stamp Gang mists, modeling paste and metallique paints.

Used a ton of embellishements on this, loads of Prima flowers, embellishements, micro beads and mica flakes. If you would like to see the creative process on how to make this project, here is a video tutorial.

The video is a bit longer than I usually make, but I hope you'll watch it anyways. :)

The lovely flower are from Prima and I've added som string and an old curtain for more texture. White brushed the flowers with white gesso and added som micro beads and mica flakes as finishing toutches.
The bird actually is from Prima as is the key aswell. The little bird came with the new birdcage Prima came out with CHA 2016. I thought the bird was perfect for this project.

I'm joining in these challenges with my birdhouse:

I've played with the newest 7dots Studio Collection "Homegrown" witch is a gorgeous collection of papers. Let's take a look at this months challenge:

And this is my take on the challenge:
So I actually made a layout without any flowers. I'm as shocked as you are. I've splattered with Colorbloom - Coral and Deep Teal.  I've used an old lace curtain to create texture in the background along with some stamping. The wire feathers are from Maya Road. The chipboards, stickers and papers are of course the "Home grown" collection from 7dots Studio. And not to forget. The heart witch is a relic and artifact by Sandra Evertson. Itsn't it stunning?
